Website Personal Information Collection Statement
This Statement is made in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data [1]. This Statement sets out the purposes for which your personal data will be used after collection, what you are agreeing to in respect of our use of your personal data and your rights under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
In most of the interactions between our volunteers and our clients, we will not collect any client personal data. However, there are some very limited circumstances in which will do so, and this Statement is intended to address those limited circumstances.
Purposes of Collection
We will use your personal data for one or more of the following purposes:

The processing and handling of any complaint received from a client;

Where we consider the client’s case to be an emergency, with the client’s consent, to report the case to the police and in doing to also communicate the client’s personal data to the police; and

For other internal and/or administrative purposes directly related to the above.
Transfer of Personal Data
We will keep your personal data confidential but, subject to applicable law, we may disclose it to appropriate personnel in Heartline Hong Kong Limited.
Access and Correction of Personal Data
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to ascertain whether we are holding your personal data, to obtain a copy of your personal data provided to us, and to correct any personal data that is inaccurate. Any request for access and correction and any enquiries regarding our policies and practices regarding your personal data should be addressed to info@heartlinehk.com. We reserve the right to charge a small fee for processing any access request.
